transition that summer cami!

Now that the cool(ish) weather is finally here, we can finally start thinking about layering again! We love taking our favourite summer camis and pairing them with longer skirts and sweaters for a sophisticated fall look. The cami that Janine is wearing is by Momiji, sweater by Fresh Baked Goods and skirt by Mandala.

Layering is such a great way to get a little more wear out of your favourite summer pieces. All of our designers are bringing in new fall merchandise daily, so be sure to stop by the store soon!

Welcome Norma W!

You just HAVE to check out these sweaters. They are super-duper-duper adorable. Each up-cycled vintage sweater features an adorable little character and, best yet, they have names! The robot, G-Bot, and squirrel, Miss Julia, are our faves!

It will be hard to choose just one, especially since each sweater is one of a kind, so we advise that you pick out a few (at the very least). At $44, how can you resist?

Norma W. also does a super great foldable bag (And it holds up to 25lbs, amazing!), also with an adorable little creature friend. We recommend getting a bag to be friends with your sweater!

Paper People's Ribbon Tie sweater

This is one of my favourite sweater styles. It's ultra feminine and perfect for layering over dresses and tank tops that you still want to show off while keeping warm. I used the lightest weight sweaters I could find so you can keep wearing them throughout the spring.

Motorcycles with a lacy shrug!

The skirt is already a contrast in styles- motorcycles and flames in the girliest of styles! Top it off with a pretty lacy looking loose knit shrug, and wowsa! what an outfit! (Necklace from Sugar Rush, skirt and shrug from Fresh Baked Goods).

Fun and Funky Sian Likes to Mix it Up!

Here's a great outfit for those of you who like to mix it up like our own Sian (FBG staffer extraordinare!). A super pretty pastel floral print skirt contrasts with her tattoos, then top it off with a nice sweater and a great vintage-style necklace from Buttercup Days. A plain men's tank top and Sian's pretty pumps complete the look. Skirt and sweater from Fresh Baked Goods.

A gorgeous bubble knit shrug!

A shrug like this from Fresh Baked Goods could make the most ho-hum tank and jeans outfit totally first date great! A pin (Odd Bird) and a bracelet (Precious Pink) add just the right touches!

Doily Cardigans from Paper People Clothing

We have a lot of these great cardigans in stock- not exactly like this one, of course.... part of the fun is that they are one-of-a-kind! So you'll have to come in and see what we have, and the best news is, they are only $45! See you at the shop tomorrow! (Don't forget to pick up a belt from Embody, to finish off the look!)

Perfectly coordinated!

Right down to the two color necklace, this brown and pink outfit just works! Great for a fun date, or to meet the gals for a drink. Top and shrug by Fresh Baked Goods, skirt by Mandala Designs and necklace by Precious Pink.

Flirty Peek-a-boo sweater dress

Paper People Clothing makes great sweater dresses, which look amazing over leggings or skinny jeans, or just with tights! Add accessories, like this belt by Paper People Clothing, a cluster of pins, or a choker necklace to make it different each time you wear it.

Paper People Clothing Sweaters

The temperature has taken a nosedive, so it's time to stock up on cozy sweaters to get you through the coming months. Cute and cozy sweaters like these make winter a lot more fun, and make me want to sit by a fire with a hot chocolate! Shown with a Mandala skirt and belt.

Yes, that does say "Just $45!"

When we set up this display, I had to check three times to make sure that this Paper People Clothing sweater really was priced at $45! I couldn't believe it was such a low price! And there are lots in this grouping- great wool cardigans in grey or black with lacy doily accents sewn on. They really are cute, and such a good price! While you're at the shop, check out the super-duper sale section in the back. We've taken over half of the back of the store to offer you our past seasons' merchandise, samples and more at super discount prices..... 40-85% off! No kidding! And we're restocking as the sale goes on, and bringing in new designers too!

Sing the Blues

I love playing with tones. Even though this outfit is all in blue I've matched up the different tones of blue. The dark blue sweater, by Fresh Baked Goods, brings out the flowers in the skirt, by Desserts 'n Skirts, and the light blue flower on the tee matches the background of the skirt almost perfectly. The tee by Mandala is also very fun and flirty all on its own!

I also love blue with brown (and pink with brown!) so I've added a golden brown shell lariat necklace by Precious Pink Designs and some fun fabric buttons in brown by Space Cat onto the sweater.
