Carrying Summer Clothing into Fall

The summer heat is on! Odd Bird is not quite ready to get into Fall just yet….as she still wants to enjoy the hot & humid weather for a while more.
Check out some of Odd Bird's printed Summer attire, this time being modelled on an actual human (rather then the usual mannekin) and accessorized with pieces from the store's members.
When the economy's tight many customers want clothing that can be carried into the next season. But they are usually unsure how to do it. Its surprisingly easy to build up an outfit to wear into another season. Don't be discouraged by colour either: if you love pink & it suits you why not wear it all year round? Don't think that's its just for one season like Spring! The trick is accessorizing & layering to either pump up or tone down the outfit for the season or occasion.
So the first outfit is for wearing during the summer weather & the second outfit is layered up a little for the transition into the cooler weather as Fall approaches.

The latest Odd Bird summer offering: the Rose & Scissors T-dress! Here it is worn with a resin ring & vintage rose necklace. Isn’t that outfit adorable with those polka-dot shoes?
Here's how it can be worn for cooler weather or for a more business-casual look: Mohair shrug, tights, chunky necklace & Damask bag.
The Bunny T-dress, worn with a shell-disc necklace & resin ring....barefoot for fun-in-the-Sun time by the pool or at the beach!
Then toned down with accessories in shades of black, white & grey: Sweater shrug, argyle socks & daintier necklace. What a cute outfit for Back-to-School!
The Songbird Pocket Tunic/Babydoll dress worn with bold & bright necklace & earrings. The jewellery isn’t exactly a matching set but look how nice they compliment both each other & the print on the dress!
Who says you cant wear white after Labor Day?
Now the dress is worn over cropped pants with tall boots & a chunky chain necklace. We used a teal coloured sweater shrug here to keep the outfit bright & fun....but if you wanted to tone it down then obviously a darker shrug would be worn instead.
